Zach Madden is a singer-songwriter and engineer/mixer/producer based out of Goleta, CA. He’s most recently known for his work writing and singing with the new Dean Dinning (Toad the Wet Sprocket, Lapdog) collaboration State Flower.
In 2003 he released Zach Madden. The LP’s first single “Scribbledown,” went to number one out of almost 8,000 songs on garageband.com and stayed in the top 20 for over a year. Anne Litt (the phenomenal DJ for Weekend Becomes Eclectic on KCRW/music supervisor (Little Miss Sunshine, Youth In Revolt) spun it on her show, and it became a heavily requested single on KCRW. Chris Douridas (acclaimed KCRW DJ/music supervisor (American Beauty, As Good As It Gets) said, in reference to the track “Anyway” on Zach Madden, “Extremely musical, and ultimately ear-catching…”
In 2004 Madden started Corporate Nightmare, an independent record label and recording studio with business partner Mike Echternacht. Madden’s engineering and production credits include: The White Fires of Venus, Kinothek, Bluëtown, The Coral Sea, Ray Fortune, State Flower, Moode. His solo work and other musical projects continue to take up his time. He still plays live, mostly on the west coast. Madden works out of his studio, Good Land Sound in Goleta, CA.
